About The Event

About The National Entrepreneurship Week

It's a 2006 non-partisan congressionally-chartered week dedicated to empowering entrepreneurship across the United States.  The annual initiative was relaunched in 2017 as NatlEshipWeek to bring together a network of partners from Maui to Miami to educate, engage, and build equitable access to America's Entrepreneurship Ecosystem.

About The HAWAI'i STATE's National Entrepreneurship Week

In 2016, the State of Hawai'i first participated in the NatlEshipWeek initiative via the County of Maui. The organizer of Maui County's NatlEshipWeek, since 2016, is Maui Business Brainstormers (MBB). MBB is a grassroots non-profit focused solely on helping local entrepreneurs via free educational events (workshops and seminars presented by industry experts).

THE ECCENTRIC ENTREPRENEUR

Keynote speaker: Jerry Houston
Speaker: Kathy Huska

"Entrepreneurship is more accessible today than any time in history"

This quote by Alec Hess, Author and Professor, rings true and was brought on, in part by the pandemic. People all over the world took a step back from the way they were approaching their careers and their life balance in a way never before possible. Many have chosen an entrepreneurial path... how about you?

Join us and the guest presenters Jerry Houston and Kathy Huska at this event THE ECCENTRIC ENTREPRENEUR (based on the book of the same title, written and developed by Jerry Houston.)

In this engaging, interactive discussion, Kathy and Jerry will endeavor to bring to light issues faced by all entrepreneurs and will open up the conversation to the audience, inviting all to participate.

You should attend if:

  •  You are thinking about going into business for yourself and have some concerns.
  • You are currently an entrepreneur and may not be achieving 100% of the results you desire.
  • You have achieved some success as an independent business owner, but find yourself struggling to manage the growth of your business (underwhelmed or overwhelmed).
  • If you identify with any or all of these three statements; then, this event will be a good investment of your time.

    Jerry and Kathy will:

  • Bring something deeper to the discussion about entrepreneurship – the human factor.
  • Look at behaviors, motivators, life positions and the challenges and joys of entrepreneurship.
  • Talk about the essential need for Mutual Benefit, Respect and Trust in all relationships.
  • Demonstrate how practicing the ideas they will share can lead to long-term sustainability of your organization.
  • Come and listen to the conversation... and join in!
